Outside Sales Engineering Focus

OUTSIDE SALES / ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING FOCUS

PETRO GUARDIAN is searching for an enthusiastic Outside Sales representative with an electrical engineering focus or background, responsible for prospecting and generating new petroleum industry sales. This position requires meeting with petroleum operators at their offices and in the field to establish excellent long-term customer relationships, educate clients on the products and services we offer, and seek further opportunities through direct references and referrals. The outside sales rep will perform essential duties and responsibilities through professional customer service, teamwork, and our specific software programs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Increase business by generating profitable sales with new and existing clients in onshore shale plays.
• Qualify prospects for new accounts and expand client database within a geographical territory via personal sales calls on a regular basis, cold calls, site visits, and direct coordination with contractors, channel partners, end-user clients, and service teams.
• Create project take offs & follow ups on quoted projects
• Meet personal and sales team goals including fiscal responsibilities, market, and company objectives
• Gather and report to management information regarding the company, competitors, pricing, products and current and future market trends as well as assists management in planning, tracking, and implantation of sales strategies for development of new markets
• Provide professional customer service for our customers along with outside sales support for all Divisions through telephone, email, and website correspondence
• Evaluate customers’ needs and build profitable long lasting relationships
• Educate new and existing customers on lightning protection systems
• Introduce and demonstrate new products and technologies to prospective clients and assigned accounts
• Work with Inside Sales teams to prepare quotes for customers
• Work with Inside Sales teams to build and strengthen long-term customer relationships
• Maintain proper training and certifications as required
• Provide back-up support and feedback as needed for Sales, Estimating, Design, and Project Management Departments
• Prioritize one’s own work. Anticipates potential problems, or opportunities for change. Sets and meets realistic deadlines. Forecasts changes and communicates current and projected issues
• Consult and provide advice, facilitate discussion and resolve conflict; establish trust; build and use cross‐functional relationships to accomplish objectives
• Understand and work within our specialized software
• Collect data, provide various reporting and support for management team
• Aid in the process of setting up new office locations in other states
• Aid in the training of additional Outside Sales individuals as needed
• Travel to and from office locations as needed
• Regularly meet with sales manager to discuss activities, feedback, market status & progress

Requirements & Skills:

• Responsible, organized, with superior planning & time management skills
• High school diploma or equivalent, sales or industry based experience required with proven record of success
• Previous cold calling experience and 5+ years business to business sales experience
• Computer proficiency in Windows, Microsoft, & Salesforce CRM
• Must have reliable transportation with valid driver’s license & insurance and safe driving record
• Additional skills may be required to perform additional task(s) specific to department or business needs

Inspection / Service Technician

Inspection / Service Technician
Upstream Oil & Gas Workers with Field Experience Needed

Petro Guardian has an immediate opening for a Service Technician to inspect and service the company's sites throughout Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. If you are looking to start a career in the oil and gas field then look no further. We offer an exciting opportunity to work independently outdoors and advance your technical skills. Learn the trade of inspecting lightning protection systems for the oil and gas industry. If you are hardworking, have a keen eye for details, and don't like sitting in an office, this opportunity may be right for you.
**This position requires travel for weeks at a time**

Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections across all Petro Guardian sites. (South Texas, Permian, Oklahoma)
  • Master Petro Guardian’s Best Practices Standard. The technician will be further required to get certifications for lightning protection.
  • Inspections will include pre-installation inspection, post installation commissioning inspection and annual preventative maintenance inspection.
  • Master Petro Guardian inspection software. Eventually become the inspection software expert and be able to make suggestions on improvements to the software and process
  • Once inspection is complete, generate reports and send them to the appropriate salesperson for customer delivery
  • Be willing and able to make repairs as needed
  • Be able to meet customers in the field and explain system and installation process


Job Qualifications/Skills:
  • Education - High School/GED or higher
  • Must have valid drivers license
  • Preferred prior military or oilfield work experience preferred
  • Preferred electrical, mechanical, civil or safety background
  • Comfortable with using tools and making simple repairs
  • Ability to learn and use excel, Salesforce, mapping processes, create and work with .kmz files and other inspection software
  • Willing to travel extensively and work long days. 14 days on and 7 days off is the preferred schedule.
  • Must be able to pass Fit test medical examination


Working Environment:
This position requires working in dangerous environments, such as high H2S locations and occasionally on air. Candidate must be able to navigate unmarked remote territories, work long days, be comfortable working at heights (not higher than 50Ft). The candidate will also be exposed to the elements and will need to work in very hot or cold environments depending on time of year.

Job Duties:

Hauling machinery/equipment (manlift) to and from field sites
Loading and unloading of manlift
Installation of lightning protection in the oil and gas industry in Midland, TX.

Requirements:

Out-of-state travel is expected and transportation will be provided.
You must be able to work out of an aerial lift.
Background checks are required and drug tests are given randomly on a regular basis.
Previous experience preferred, but not required as job training will be provided.
Basic construction and/or oil and gas experience preferred.
Must be able to pass DOT drug screen.

Certifications that would be helpful if you have, but will be provided by Petro Guardian as needed:
